Ocado agreed to acquire US-based warehouse robotics provider Kindred Systems for $262 million in cash, providing exits for investors Tencent and GV. Kindred produces AI-powered piece-picking robots for e-commerce fulfillment.

Kroger and Ocado will build a 350,000-sq.-ft. automated customer fulfillment center.

Ocado and Groupe Casino have signed an agreement to develop the Ocado Smart Platform in France, including a customer fulfilment center using Ocado's mechanical handling equipment. The warehouse will serve the Paris area and nearby regions.
