Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) commenced construction of a new 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant at the Cirebon power station in West Java, Indonesia, as part of a $2 billion expansion project. The plant is expected to enter commercial operation in 2022.
