Mitsui Chemicals added 6000 tons of capacity at its Thai subsidiary MHM for high performance nonwovens including Airyfa spunbond nonwovens, and expanded breathable film production of Espoir films to 10,900 tons per year.

Mitsui Chemicals will produce polypropylene-based spunbonded nonwoven fabrics with hollow fibers at its subsidiary MHM in Thailand starting next year, upgrading existing equipment to make value-added nonwovens for high-end diapers.
