Tsingshan Group

Allegheny Technologies has filed for an exclusion from Section 232 tariffs on behalf of its newly formed joint venture, Allegheny & Tsingshan Stainless, which imports semi-finished stainless slab products from Indonesia. The JV operates a Direct Roll Anneal and Pickle facility in Midland, Pennsylvania.

Allegheny Technologies formed a previously announced 50-50 joint venture with an affiliate of Tsingshan Group to produce 60-inch wide stainless sheet products for sale in North America. Initial customer shipments are expected in the first half of 2018.
