TE SubCom contract for JUPITER submarine cable system comes into force
TE SubCom, a TE Connectivity company, announced that the supply contract for the JUPITER Cable system has come into force. The consortium includes PLDT, NTT Communications, PCCW Global, SoftBank, Facebook and Amazon. The approximately 14,000 km transpacific cable will connect Japan, the United States and the Philippines, with initial design capacity over 60 Tbps, and is scheduled to be ready for service by early 2020.
