Bechtel National, Inc. awarded contracts valued at nearly $37.8 million to Petersen, Inc. to supply engineered stainless-steel containers and a spare melter for Hanford's Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (Vit Plant). The containers will hold vitrified waste for long-term storage.

Petersen opened a new 52,000 sq. ft. PAC-CLAD manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona, to serve the Western U.S. construction market. The facility became fully operational in the first quarter of 2018.
