Valentus Specialty Chemicals

Funds advised by SK Capital Partners have purchased Canadian coatings company Canlak Inc. and US-based Valentus Specialty Chemicals, planning to merge them into a new wood coatings company called Canlak Coatings, headquartered in North Brunswick, New Jersey.

SK Capital announced the acquisition of Canlak and Valentus Specialty Chemicals to form a new wood coatings company called Canlak Coatings, headquartered in North Brunswick, New Jersey.

New Nautical Coatings, Inc., parent company of Sea Hawk Paints, acquired Blue Water Marine Paints from Valentus Specialty Chemicals.

Valentus Specialty Chemicals, a platform of Huron Capital, acquired St. Louis-based US Coatings Inc., a provider of high performance protective maintenance coatings for industrial, petrochemical, and oil and gas applications.

Valentus Specialty Chemicals has partnered with PoloPlaz to create a leading wood floor coatings company. PoloPlaz was previously owned by Mac Hogan and Chad Baker, who will become Valentus shareholders.
