Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, entered an agreement with Bavarian Nordic to fill and finish Jynneos monkeypox vaccines. The tech transfer has been initiated, with manufacturing expected to start later in 2022. GRAM will dedicate one fill line to the effort.

Bavarian Nordic entered into an agreement with Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM) for fill and finish of JYNNEOS smallpox/monkeypox vaccine. The contract supports orders from BARDA for 5.5 million doses, with tech transfer already initiated and manufacturing expected to start in 2022.

Bavarian Nordic will invest approximately USD 75 million over the coming years in the construction of a fill/finish manufacturing line at its facility in Denmark to support the IMVAMUNE stockpile.

Bavarian Nordic secured a sole source contract from BARDA for freeze-dried IMVAMUNE smallpox vaccine, with an initial base award of USD 100 million for bulk manufacturing and potential total value exceeding USD 539 million.

Bavarian Nordic has been awarded a multi-year contract by the UK Health Security Agency to supply MVA-BN vaccine for mpox and smallpox prevention. The four-year contract includes scheduled deliveries and optional flexibility provisions.
