EchoStar

Hughes Network Systems, an EchoStar company, has acquired Anderson Connectivity, an aerospace innovator based in Melbourne, Florida. The acquisition expands Hughes' capabilities in aviation, space, and defense markets, and includes Anderson Connectivity's Melbourne facility.

EchoStar signed a contract with Space Systems Loral (SSL) to build the Jupiter-3/EchoStar-24 satellite, an ultra-high-density satellite with 500 Gbps capacity covering the Americas. The contract is valued at approximately $400 million, with launch expected in 2021.
