Samkang M&T

SK Ecoplant decided to invest 459.5 billion won ($388.6 million) to acquire a 31.83% stake and convertible bonds in Samkang M&T, a South Korean offshore wind farm substructure maker, to enter the offshore wind power business.

Samkang M&T has won a large order for offshore wind pipes to be supplied to Indonesia. The contract is worth about 10.5 billion won with ArcelorMittal, the world's second-largest steelmaker, and runs from February 4, 2021 to September 8, 2021.

Samkang M&T has signed a contract worth 2 billion KRW with Seongjin Soge to build a new barge. The contract was signed on August 8, 2017.
