ZF Friedrichshafen has begun production of the ibeoNEXT solid-state LiDAR system for Ibeo Automotive Systems GmbH. First batches will be delivered from October 2020, with Great Wall Motor as a first customer for its premium SUV model 'Wey' starting in 2022.

Ibeo Automotive Systems signed a contract on 13 July 2020 to supply solid-state LiDAR systems for Great Wall Motor's WEY SUV model, with series production starting in 2022. ZF Friedrichshafen will produce the sensors and control unit.

Ibeo Automotive Systems GmbH has signed a series supply contract with Great Wall Motor to supply ibeoNEXT Solid State LiDAR for the WEY SUV model, with production starting in 2022. The contract was signed on July 13, 2020.

The joint venture between GWM and BMW Group started construction of the Spotlight Automotive factory in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province. The factory has a total investment of RMB 5.1 billion and an annual capacity of 160,000 units.

Pilbara Minerals signed an additional deal with Great Wall Motor to supply 20,000 dry metric tonnes of spodumene concentrate annually for six years, with deliveries starting in August 2019.

China Automotive Systems has won a major exclusive supply contract from Great Wall Motor Company to provide electric power steering (EPS) products for Great Wall's new ORA R150 electric vehicle model, with total shipments expected to reach 150,000 units in 2019.

Research and Production Enterprise Polyplastic announced it was selected as supplier of composite materials to Great Wall Motor for its Haval brand. The materials will be used in vehicle interiors and exteriors at the new Haval plant in Tula region, Russia, scheduled for completion in early 2019.
