Biwater was awarded a $7.5 million contract by ONEE to design and construct a solar sludge drying facility for a new wastewater treatment plant in Laâyoune, southern Morocco.

Abengoa is expanding the capacity of a desalination plant in Agadir, Morocco, from 100,000 to 150,000 m3/d for ONEE, and was awarded an additional 125,000 m3/d for irrigation, with total project value of €309 million.
