Rengo Co. acquired 100% of the shares of Takigawa Corporation and its related companies, which become part of Rengo Group's flexible packaging business.

Japanese packaging maker Takigawa opened its nearly $46 million, 180-job flexible packaging and high-performance films plant in Bardstown, Kentucky, its first US facility, with a 180,000-square-foot operation.

Japan-based Takigawa Corporation broke ground on its first US manufacturing facility, a 148,000 sq ft greenfield plant on 18 acres in Bardstown, Kentucky, producing high-impact consumer packaging. The facility will create about 180 jobs.
