Dai Nippon Printing and Photronics will establish a joint venture, Photronics DNP Mask Corporation Xiamen, in Xiamen, China, to manufacture and sell semiconductor photomasks. Investment is planned at US$160 million over five years, with volume production expected by December 2018.

Photronics and Dai Nippon Printing have agreed to form a joint venture, Photronics DNP Mask Corporation Xiamen (PDMCX), to serve semiconductor manufacturers in China. The JV will include a photomask manufacturing facility under construction in Xiamen, with a $160 million investment over five years. Production is scheduled to begin by end of 2018.
