Federal-Mogul Powertrain secured its first commercial customer contract for its Controlled Power Technologies unit, worth around $100 million, for development and series production of advanced starter-generator systems for an OEM, announced 29 March 2018.
Federal-Mogul Powertrain completed the acquisition of UK-based Controlled Power Technologies, a developer of 12V and 48V electric motor generators for hybridisation and electrification. The unit will operate as Federal-Mogul Controlled Power; financial terms were not disclosed.
