AMSC purchased a third factory in Brazil for $7.4 million, funded from operating cash flow, to support its Comtrafo subsidiary.

AMSC received a record $25 million turnkey order from a North American utility for a mine expansion, combining STATCOM technology, capacitor banks, shunt reactors, transformers, switchgear, and protection equipment. The order was booked in Q1 FY2027.

Inox Wind Limited entered into an exclusive license agreement with AMSC for a 3 MW class wind turbine design in India, with AMSC as the exclusive supplier of electric control systems.

Inox Wind, an AMSC licensee, has secured a 100MW wind turbine supply contract in India. The deal was announced on 31 August 2017.

AMSC and The Switch have terminated their Share Purchase Agreement due to adverse market conditions for financing. The Switch shareholders will retain a €14.2 million break-up fee.
