LyondellBasell completed its acquisition of A. Schulman, Inc., a global supplier of high-performance plastic compounds, composites and powders, on August 21, 2018. The combined business will operate as a new Advanced Polymer Solutions segment.

LyondellBasell announced it has received unconditional antitrust clearance from China for its pending $2.25 billion acquisition of A. Schulman, a global supplier of plastic compounds. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2018.

LyondellBasell announced a definitive agreement to acquire A. Schulman, a supplier of high-performance plastic compounds, for a total consideration of $2.25 billion. The acquisition will create a premier Advanced Polymer Solutions business.

A. Schulman plans to install three additional extrusion lines for colour masterbatches at its plants in Hungary, Italy and Poland to increase production capacity.
