Bashundhara Group signed a cement supply agreement with China Railway Group to supply over 0.7 Mt of cement for the Padma Bridge Rail Link project in Bangladesh.

Bashundhara Industrial Complex, the cement arm of Bashundhara Group, will invest Tk 447.53 crore to expand its Madanganj factory in Narayanganj, increasing annual capacity from 2.1 million tonnes to 3 million tonnes. The new extension unit is expected to begin commercial operation in 2020.

Bashundhara Group signed an agreement with Valmet to establish a packaging paper manufacturing facility in Bashundhara Special Economic Zone, Keraniganj, Bangladesh. The project will cost around Tk 4,000 Crore and create 10,000 jobs, with production capacity of 2,000 tonnes of pulp and board per day.
