Italian packaging maker Gualapack, through Gualapack Brasil, agreed to acquire Brazilian flexible packaging converter Teruel Embalagens, which has two factories in Brazil. The deal adds laminate production to Gualapack's pouch business in South America. It was announced on October 4, 2021.
Italian packaging maker Gualapack became majority shareholder of Easysnap Technology, a Modena-based maker of single-dose easy-open packaging systems. Easysnap's CEO Andrea Taglini will remain in his role.
Gualapack opened a new Group facility in Sumy, Ukraine in July 2017, producing multilayer barrier laminates and premade spouted pouches for CIS customers.
