Bellara Steel to build $2B steel complex in Algeria
Algerian Qatar Steel (AQS) is building a new steel complex in Bellara, Algeria, with a total investment of $2 billion. The first phase is expected to start production in 2017, producing 2 million tons of steel annually and creating 2,000 direct jobs. Spanish companies Lymsa, Elecnor, and Butec are involved in construction and fabrication.
