Metalloinvest

Two 130 t BELAZ trucks have been delivered to Mikhailovsky GOK iron ore mine (part of Metalloinvest) as part of a large-scale programme to update mining and transport machinery. Additional equipment including another BELAZ truck and two locomotives are expected by end of 2017.

Metalloinvest started operations at its third hot briquetted iron (HBI) production facility at Lebedinsky GOK in Gubkin, Belgorod region, with an investment of approximately $660 million and a design capacity of 1.8 million mt per year.

Metalloinvest signed a long-term contract with United Metallurgical Company (OMK) to supply round cast steel billets for railway wheel production. The billets will be produced at Ural Steel and delivered to OMK's Vyksa Steel Works, with the contract lasting until the end of 2027.
