Arif Habib Corporation Ltd will make an additional investment of $11 million in Power Cement Ltd to install energy-efficient components. Power Cement is also expanding with a new 7700tpd line, with contracts signed with FLSmidth and Tianjin Electric Power Construction.

Power Cement Limited will increase its capacity by 7,700 tonnes per day in a brownfield expansion project in Pakistan, with a budget of EUR 268 million. IFU is providing EUR 8.5 million in funding, and FLSmidth is responsible for engineering and equipment supply.

Arif Habib Group will invest PKR25bn (US$238.5m) in a new cement plant operated by subsidiary Power Cement, to be completed in two years. The plant will increase Power Cement's capacity from 0.9Mta to 3.37Mta.
