Outokumpu

Outokumpu's long products division has been awarded a contract to supply over 2,500 metric tons of stainless steel reinforcing bars for the Rodanthe Bridge project in North Carolina, USA. The contract was signed with Harris Rebar.

Outokumpu signed an agreement to purchase full ownership of Fagersta Stainless wire rod mill in Sweden from Sandvik for €18 million. Outokumpu's ownership will increase to 90% by end of June 2018 and 100% by end of 2019.

Finnish stainless steel producer Outokumpu won an order to supply more than 2,500 metric tons of stainless steel rebar for the Rodanthe bridge project in North Carolina, US. Deliveries will start in Q2 2018 and continue through 2020.

Outokumpu has enhanced its stainless bar production capabilities at its Richburg, South Carolina facility with a new coil-to-bar peeling line and full reinforcement bar capabilities, increasing stainless bar production capacity by more than 15,000 metric tons annually.

Outokumpu Long Products won a contract to supply 1,600 metric tons of stainless steel rebar for the Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad Al-Sabah causeway project in Kuwait. The contract is with Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and the rebar will be supplied from Outokumpu's Bar Mill in Sheffield, UK.
