Elis has closed the acquisition of 100% of Curantex GmbH and Curantex GmbH & Co. KG, a family business in Erkelenz, Germany, serving the healthcare segment with flat linen, workwear, and residents clothes. Curantex generated revenues of about €14 million in 2017.

Elis SA announced the completion of its acquisition of Berendsen plc, a European textile, hygiene and safety solutions company, creating a pan-European leader in textile, hygiene and facility services.

Elis finalized the acquisition of 100% of Bardusch Arrendamentos Texteis Ltda, the Brazilian subsidiary of Bardusch, which operates three industrial laundries in Curitiba, Jundiaí and Rio Verde. The operations generated revenue of about BRL 30 million (EUR 8 million) in 2016.

Elis SA announced a revised cash-and-share proposal to acquire Berendsen plc, valuing each Berendsen share at £11.73 and implying a total equity value. The proposal has been rejected by Berendsen's board.

Elis acquired Compañia Navarra de Servicios Integrales SL (Indusal) in Spain and signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire Lavebras Gestão de Têxteis S.A. in Brazil. Total investment is approximately €510 million.
