Mecalac

Mecalac, a designer and manufacturer of compact construction equipment, opened a new 14,000-square-foot facility in Norfolk, Massachusetts, serving as its North American headquarters. The facility centralizes offices, inventory, parts, and service, and includes a training center. It opened in July 2019.

Terex agreed to sell its UK-based operation manufacturing backhoes, site dumpers, and compact compaction rollers to Mecalac, exiting the earthmoving equipment business. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2017.
