Chemetall

The UK Ministry of Defence awarded a multi-supplier framework agreement for the supply of chemicals including domestic and specialist cleaning products, valued between £8 million and £21.6 million, to nine suppliers including Performance Chemicals Ltd, Cleenol Group Ltd, and Arrow County Supplies Ltd.

Chemetall, the Surface Treatment business unit of BASF's Coatings division, has inaugurated a new laboratory and office building and expanded production of Naftoseal aircraft sealants at its Langelsheim, Germany site. The investment is the brand's largest single investment at the site.

Nexeo Solutions announced an expanded distribution agreement with Chemetall (BASF) to distribute Chemetall's aerospace surface treatment portfolio in the United States.

BASF's Chemetall brand reached an agreement to acquire the automotive paint detackification business of Polymer Ventures, including all shares of Galaxy Chemical Corporation.

Chemetall, the Surface Treatment business unit of BASF's Coatings division, will expand its production site in Langelsheim, Germany to increase capacity for aircraft sealants, including new laboratory and office space. Groundbreaking is scheduled for March 2018, with commissioning in 2019.

Talga Resources Ltd has signed a Joint Development Agreement with Chemetall, a global business unit of BASF's Coatings Division, to co-develop and commercialize graphene-enhanced metal surface coatings. Talga will be the exclusive graphene supplier for jointly developed products and expects first revenue in Q2 2017.

BASF completed its acquisition of Albemarle's global surface treatment business, Chemetall, expanding its Coatings division's portfolio.
