Wärtsilä will supply its hybrid propulsion system, including engines, gearboxes, propellers and batteries, for three new RoPax vessels built for Stena RoRo and chartered to Brittany Ferries. The order was placed in May 2022 and announced on 21 June 2022.
Kongsberg Maritime won a roughly EUR 20 million EPCI contract from Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft for an LNG-fuelled RoPax ferry for Brittany Ferries. The integrated scope covers LNG fuel gas supply, electrical, automation and control systems.
