A-Plant buys three Hewden divisions for £29m
Ashtead Plant Hire Company (A-Plant) has bought three divisions of the Hewden Group for £29m after it went into administration. 133 staff will transfer to A-Plant, while 251 staff were made redundant.

Ashtead acquires Hewden powered access and lifting assets
Ashtead's UK operation A-Plant acquired the Hewden brand, powered access and power generation fleet, and five on-site depots from administrators EY for £29 million. The deal includes the Interlift lifting gear business and 133 employees.
