Terratec

JIM Technology (JIMT), an entity created by IHI, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and JFE Engineering, has purchased shares in Terratec, formalizing their eight-year cooperation and giving Terratec access to more engineering and production facilities.

TERRATEC assembled its fifth 6.68m diameter dual-mode hard rock TBM for Mumbai Metro Line 3 in India. The machine will work on contract UGC-06 at the CSIA International Airport shaft.

TERRATEC completed Factory Acceptance Testing of a TR2000 Raise Boring Machine, which will be deployed by Peruvian mining contractor INCIMMET on Continental Gold's Buriticá mine project in Colombia.

TERRATEC officially opened a new large-diameter TBM production facility in Guangzhou, China, with capacity to produce up to 20 large-diameter (>6m) tunnel boring machines per year. The plant replaces existing production in Wuhan.
