A Gorbel affiliate acquired Engineered Lifting Systems (ELS) & Equipment Inc. of Elmira, Ontario. ELS manufactures material handling products including conveyor systems, overhead cranes, and transfer carts. The acquisition is expected to create up to 90 new jobs in the Rochester, New York area.

Gorbel, a manufacturer of material handling and fall protection equipment, is expanding into a former Getinge facility in Henrietta, New York. The expansion will add about 60 jobs, including welders and assemblers, to be filled by end of 2020.

Gorbel opened a new manufacturing facility in Goodyear, Arizona, its fourth manufacturing location, adding more than 20 jobs in the first phase with a sizable capital investment.
