Itron Inc. signed a contract with Liberty Utilities to deploy Itron's OpenWay Riva IoT solution for gas, electricity and water metering across its utilities in 13 U.S. states.

Itron signed an agreement with Conelectricas, a group of four electricity cooperatives in Costa Rica, to deploy its OpenWay Riva IoT solution including nearly 250,000 smart meters over the next five years.

Itron will deploy its Gen5 network for Brazilian utility Elektro to enable energy efficiency in three cities in São Paulo state, replacing existing meters with 40,000 smart meters from Eletra over the next year.

Florida Power & Light has signed a seven-year contract renewal with Itron for managed services, Gen5 hardware, and professional services to upgrade its smart grid network.

Itron is expanding its Oconee County, South Carolina operations with a new manufacturing line for natural gas meters. The project involves $8 million in capital investment and will create 100 jobs.

Itron, Inc. acquired Peak Holding Corp, including its subsidiary Comverge, Inc., in a cash transaction valued at approximately $100 million.
