Exedy Corporation

Exedy Corporation resolved to acquire all shares of Protean Electric Ltd., a UK-based developer of in-wheel motors, for approximately JPY 5.17 billion, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. The acquisition date is February 26, 2026.

Japan-based Exedy plans to double its torque converter production in China between 2019 and 2020 by adding new manufacturing facilities at a factory operated by its subsidiary Exedy Dynax Shanghai.

Exedy Corporation completed a US$87.8 million investment at its subsidiary Exedy-Dynax Mexico in Aguascalientes, expanding the plant by 136,000 square meters and creating 647 new jobs.
