Norjon Precision Engineering has installed a high-speed DA300 vertical machining centre from Makino, with an Erowa pallet system, at its Gosport factory. It is the first Makino DA300 in the UK.

Makino Inc. announced its merger with EDM consumables supplier Global EDM Supplies. The merger is expected to expand Makino's Single Source Technologies (SST) consumables business by broadening geographic reach and product diversity.

Makino Inc. acquired Global EDM Supplies, a supplier of EDM parts and supplies, integrating it into Makino's SST consumables business. The integration is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2017.
