Logson Group

Logson Group has acquired independent Welsh sheet plant Playford Packaging for an undisclosed fee, marking its entry into the Welsh market. Playford Packaging will operate as a standalone business within Logson Group.

Logson Group, headquartered in Coalville, acquired East Sussex-based corrugated packaging manufacturer Challenge Packaging Ltd, which operates from a 10,000 sq m site near Hailsham.

Logson Group will build a new sheet feeding facility for Board24 at the Euro-Central business park in Motherwell, Scotland, with a new BHS Corrugated line and material handling system. Completion is expected in December 2023.

Logson Group, the UK's largest independent corrugated packaging supplier, acquired the Cardboard Box Company, an independent sheet plant in Accrington, Lancashire, with turnover above GBP 17 million and 90 employees. The deal value was not disclosed.

Board24, part of the Logson Group, is investing a further £5m to extend its Preston sheet feeder operation by 4,000sqm, raising loading and storage capacity by 30% and adding a fourth material handling line.
