50Hertz awards consortium contract for 2 GW North Sea Connector 2 platform
German TSO 50Hertz awarded a contract to a consortium led by Siemens Energy and Neptun Smulders Offshore Renewables (NSORe) for the North Sea Connector 2 grid connection project, including an offshore converter platform and onshore converter station. The project will transmit up to 2 GW of offshore wind power.
