Yunnan Xinyao Semiconductor Materials, a controlling subsidiary of Yunnan Germanium, signed a five-year long-term supply agreement with Applied Optoelectronics (AOI) to supply 180,000 4-inch N-type indium phosphide substrates per year from 2027 to 2031, totaling about 900,000 wafers. The 2027 contract is valued at approximately USD 194 million.
