Japan Pulp & Paper Co, Ltd. agreed to take over the operations of the insolvent German paper companies Inapa Deutschland, Inapa ComPlott and Inapa Packaging in a reorganised form. Integration is planned for 1 December 2024.
Japan Pulp and Paper submitted a binding proposal on September 24, 2024 to buy 100% of Inapa France from its insolvency administrator for EUR 25 million, based on an enterprise value of EUR 73.1 million. The offer competes with a EUR 20 million bid from Next Pack for the packaging business.
Japan Pulp and Paper plans to take a 51% stake in the merged Australasian paper distributor formed from BJ Ball (PagePack) and K.W. Doggett, with the merger possibly as soon as July 2017. The deal is estimated at nearly 7 billion yen, with the remaining 49% possibly acquired later.
