Cheshire packaging firm Packaging One Ltd secured a £4 million contract with a large technology company, funded by a £700,000 NatWest loan backed by a UK Export Finance guarantee. The export growth has supported at least 50 new full-time jobs at its Middlewich headquarters.
Packaging One, a family-run UK protective packaging maker, moved into a 44,000 sq ft site in Middlewich, Cheshire, increasing manufacturing capability by about 70%. The expansion followed a seven-figure funding deal from NatWest and aims to double the workforce to 80 people.
Cheshire firm Packaging One signed a contract worth about $2.5 million (£1.98 million) with a global phone and tech manufacturer to supply its MediaWrap protective cardboard packaging. The deal, signed in September 2024, led the firm to add 40 staff and take US warehouse capacity.
