Tekni-Plex signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Grupo Phoenix, a rigid custom packaging manufacturer with operations in the United States, Colombia and Mexico, to strengthen its consumer products business. The price was not disclosed.
Grupo Phoenix will invest $48.7 million to expand its Phoenix Packaging Operations plant in Dublin, Pulaski County, Virginia, creating 145 new jobs. It is the company's third expansion there.
