Sofidel

Sofidel broke ground on a $775 million expansion of its tissue plant at the Port of Inola, Oklahoma, adding a 75,000 tons-per-year Valmet TAD tissue machine and an automated finished goods warehouse. The machine start-up is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.

Sofidel finalized its acquisition of assets of Royal Interco LLC (Royal Paper), including a paper mill in Gila Bend, Arizona and converting facilities in Phoenix, Arizona and Duncan, South Carolina, with the deal announced April 9, 2025.

Sofidel has entered into an agreement with Hakle GmbH to acquire the Hakle trademark and other consumer brands such as Dick&Durstig and Servus, with IP rights and domains. Hakle GmbH will keep producing at its Düsseldorf-Reisholz site under a new name; the deal takes effect after regulatory authorization.
