The US Justice Department filed a complaint and proposed final judgment requiring Amcor to divest medical flexible packaging assets, including facilities in Ashland, Massachusetts and Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a condition of its proposed acquisition of Bemis.

The US Department of Justice approved WestRock's proposed $4.9bn acquisition of KapStone Paper and Packaging through Whisky Holdco. The deal was originally agreed in January 2018.
