Topsoe signed a contract with Uniper to deliver front-end engineering design (FEED) for the NorthStarH2 e-methanol facility in Östersund, Northern Sweden, based on its ModuLite technology. The plant is expected to produce around 115,000 tons of e-methanol annually, with FID expected in 2028.

Nouryon will spend SEK 180 million modernizing its Domsjö plant in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The upgrade could raise capacity by up to 4,000 tons. The announcement was reported on 26 May 2021.

Lund-based Nexam Chemical agreed to buy all shares of privately owned masterbatch and additives maker Plasticolor Sweden AB in Lomma for SEK 116 million. The deal gives Nexam production capacity and new market segments.
