Skarpenord AS and Xtronica AS formed a new joint venture, Skarpenord Xtronica Pte Ltd, in Singapore to combine valve control and automation technologies for maritime and offshore clients across Asia-Pacific.

Weir Oil & Gas agreed to acquire KOP Surface Products, a Singapore-headquartered provider of wellheads, surface trees, valves and actuators with 450 employees, for an enterprise value of US$114 million. Completion is expected in Q3 2017.

Akastor ASA agreed to sell KOP Surface Products, a Singapore-based supplier of wellheads, trees, valves and actuators, to The Weir Group for USD 114 million on a debt- and cash-free basis. Closing is expected in Q3 2017.
