Berlin Packaging has completed its acquisition of Sarom Packaging and Romgallia, Romania-based glass packaging suppliers, expanding its EMEA footprint and glass portfolio.

All4Labels Global Packaging Group signed an agreement to acquire Romprix Exim, a Romanian manufacturer of self-adhesive labels, making it a 100% subsidiary. The transaction is subject to closing conditions including regulatory approval, and terms were not disclosed. Both production sites are near Bucharest.

Alpla, Ecohelp and United Polymer Trading (UPT) formed a joint venture, PET Recycling Team Targu Mures, investing a combined EUR 7.5 million in a plant in Targu Mures, Romania. Production is scheduled to start around mid-2022.

Austrian packaging manufacturer ALPLA agreed to acquire a 100% stake in Star East Pet SRL, a PET preform producer based in Brasov, Romania. Completion is expected in mid-2017, subject to antitrust approval; financial terms were not disclosed.
