San Miguel Corp's board approved merging San Miguel Yamamura Asia Corp and San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corp, with SMYPC as the surviving entity, consolidating its packaging business. The disclosure was made on September 13, 2019.

Sealed Air has acquired the flexible packaging business of privately held MGM, based in Manila, to expand its printing and lamination capabilities in Asia Pacific. The deal is expected to close in April 2019, and terms were not disclosed.
