Smurfit Westrock has inaugurated a new Bobst Mastercut 2.1 die-cutting line at its Anzio plant near Rome, a €11 million investment adding over 20 million square metres of capacity and raising hourly productivity by over 20%.

Baker Hughes inaugurated an expanded production line for centrifugal compressors at its Talamona plant in the Valtellina area of Italy. The investment will add four specialized jobs, taking the site above 300 employees.

Baglioni opened a new automated production line for carbon and stainless steel compressed air pressure tanks at its Casalvolone plant in the province of Novara in June 2023.

Mondi plans to convert the paper machine at its planned Duino mill to produce about 420,000 tonnes per year of recycled containerboard, at an estimated investment of around €200 million. The plan supports its Corrugated Solutions plants in Central Europe and Turkey.

The Marchesini Group invested €7 million to double the size of CORIMA's aseptic packaging machinery plant in Pianoro, Italy, adding 6,000 square meters. The 30 new technician and engineer jobs were announced with the factory's official opening.

Italian gear reducer maker Rossi S.p.A. has invested EUR 30 million in manufacturing technology and is extending its Ganaceto plant in Modena by up to 27,000 square meters for a new gearmotor assembly line.

Nuovo Pignone inaugurated a new production line for gas seal panels for centrifugal compressors at its Massa plant in Tuscany. The investment of about EUR 12 million also renovated the site.
