Indian aluminium packaging maker GSM Foils signed an MoU with AAPL Solutions to enter the aluminium ROPP caps market from a new Mumbai-region plant. Production is scheduled to start before the end of June 2026, with the line projected to generate ₹500 million in annual revenue at peak.

UK packaging firm Frugalpac signed a partnership with India's ITC to bring its Frugal paper bottles and bottle-making machines to South Asia. Goa's Rhea Distilleries commissioned an initial run of Frugal Bottles for its Fidalgo cashew feni. The deal was signed in September 2025.

Manjushree Technopack (MTL), a rigid plastic packaging maker backed by Advent International, signed a collaboration with the bottle-to-bottle recycling division of Ganesha Ecosphere Group to co-develop and supply food and non-food packaging made from up to 100% recycled plastic in India.

Dow has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indian recycler Lucro Plastecycle to develop a closed-loop packaging solution that recycles post-consumer PE film waste using Dow virgin resins, with first shrink films expected in India later in 2021.
