Astorg portfolio company IPCOM, a European specialty distributor of insulation products, acquired a majority stake in Le Froid Pecomark, a French distributor of refrigeration, heat pump and ventilation equipment. No deal value was disclosed.

Danfoss is investing an additional €10 million in its heat pump component factory in Reyrieux, France, expanding its European heat pump component manufacturing capacity.

GROUPE ATLANTIC is investing nearly €150 million in a new 35,000 square metre heat pump factory in the Chalon region of Saône-et-Loire, expected to create 300 jobs and add 180,000 units a year by 2028.

Danfoss announced an additional €10 million investment in its Reyrieux, France production site, which makes heat pump components. The upgrade includes on-site renewable power, energy efficiency measures and refurbished workspaces, building on €61 million invested there from 2015 to 2025.

Liebherr-Aerospace is building a new 12,000 m² heat exchanger production building next to its Campsas site in Tarn-et-Garonne, with an investment of nearly €30 million. The building is due to be completed at the end of Q1 2025 and fully operational in mid-2026.

Atlantic is investing over EUR 30 million to extend its Billy-Berclau factory by 5,000 m², adding production of heat pump components previously imported from Asia.

BDR Thermea Group is scaling up capacity by 50% at its existing heat pump production sites in Mertzwiller, France, and Vilafranca del Penedès, Spain, and aims for 800,000 annual heat pumps by 2026.

Chinese appliance group Hisense Home Appliances will acquire 75% of Sanden and inject 175 million euros of capital, with the shareholder change to be approved at the May 7 shareholder meeting. Sanden's only French plant is in Tintenia near Rennes.

Chinese group Hisense is set to acquire 75% of Japanese compressor maker Sanden via a share issue worth about 21.4 billion yen (about 178 million euros). The process is to be finalised at a shareholder meeting on May 7, and affects the Tinteniac plant in France.

Danfoss Commercial Compressors inaugurated a 3,000 square metre ATEX laboratory at its Reyrieux, France plant on 12 September 2019, a €16 million investment for testing compressors with flammable refrigerants.

Hutchinson has taken a majority share in TCSA, a joint venture with MANN+HUMMEL in Laval, France, making thermal management and cooling systems for EV and HEV vehicles. The unit employs around 60 people and is already operational.

Danfoss inaugurated its extended ATEX compressor laboratory in Trévoux, France, which now covers 3,000 square metres and is the first of its kind in Europe. The investment totalled 16 million euro.
