On June 19, 2024 Valmet announced it will deliver critical valve solutions to Hycamite's new Customer Sample Facility in Kokkola, Finland, a methane-splitting hydrogen plant expected to start operations in the second half of 2024.

Valmet will deliver critical valves, valve automation and the Valmet DNA system to Keliber Oy's lithium refinery in Kokkola, Finland, with production ramp-up planned for the second half of 2025. The order was included in Valmet's Q3 2023 orders received.

Sulzer Pumps Finland signed a contract with Metsä Fibre to supply several hundred process pumps and mixers from its Kotka plant for the bioproduct mill under construction in Kemi, Finland. The contract value was not disclosed.

Neles and Metsä Fibre signed a preliminary agreement for Neles to supply valve solutions and maintenance services for the new bioproduct mill in Kemi, Finland. The mill investment is EUR 1.5 billion, with a final decision expected no earlier than autumn 2020.

Metso was selected as main valve supplier for Metsä Fibre's next-generation bioproduct mill in Äänekoski, Finland, supplying about 3,000 valves plus comprehensive maintenance and spare parts agreements. Mill start-up is scheduled for late summer 2017.

Metso has signed an agreement for a comprehensive valve delivery for the Kilpilahti Power Plant in Porvoo, Finland.

Metso signed an agreement to deliver about 150 on-off and control valves for the Kilpilahti combined heat and power plant in Porvoo, Finland, planned for commissioning in 2018. The order value was not disclosed.
