Finnish heat pump maker Oilon will supply S series industrial heat pumps using R1234ze to Fortum for two district heating plants recovering waste heat from a new Microsoft data centre complex, in a contract valued at about EUR 15 million.

BEMAC Corporation, with Mitsui & Co., signed a share purchase agreement to acquire 100% of The Switch Engineering Oy and its group from Yaskawa Europe Holding. The Vaasa, Finland maker produces permanent magnet machines, DC distribution solutions, high-power AC drives and high-speed induction motors. The price was not disclosed.

Valmet will supply a flue gas condensing process for Vantaa Energy's new high-temperature hazardous waste incineration plant in Vantaa, Finland, with completion scheduled for 2025. The order value was not disclosed but is typically over EUR 15 million.

Nordex secured a contract from WPD to supply 33 N163/5.X turbines for the 188MW Karhunnevankangas wind farm in Ostrobothnia, Finland, with a 15-year premium service contract also agreed. Installation is scheduled for 2022.
